Year 9 Visit to Cornish Tea and Coffee – Monday, 14th October

On Monday, 14th October, Year 9 students visited Cornish Tea and Coffee, where they were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour by entrepreneur Duncan Bond. Duncan explained what he looks for in employees, emphasising the importance of teamwork, uniform standards, hygiene, and safety. He also highlighted various roles within the company, such as administrative positions, accountants, marketing and advertising teams, and engineers.
Duncan further discussed the critical role of retail and the need to keep customers happy. Students were shown the production lines and the distribution unit, with all team members dressed in whites and wearing hairnets for hygiene. The visit included a conversation about sustainability and Duncan’s vision for the company’s future.
