Dance teacher competes for Great Britain
Samantha Day is competing in the International ice swimming championships in Molveno.
Her first swim was this Tuesday morning at 8am. She placed second in her heat for the 100m backstroke. The lady who placed first set a new world record. Samantha’s time 1.34.47 was very strong.
The temperature averages 5 degrees, but it was believed to be approximately 2 degrees.

Her next swim was on Wednesday at 7:30 UK time with the 50 meters backstroke. She achieved a silver medal and was second in her age group.
On Saturday 18 January at 10:45 UK time she will be competing in the freestyle.
