GCSE Results 2018
I am sincerely delighted that all of the hard work by our Year 10 and Year 11 students and the tireless support of the Academy staff has been rewarded with some extremely pleasing exam results.
I would like to thank them all for their hard work in preparing for the examinations and wish every student that is leaving us the best of luck with the next stage of their education or training. The Academy has achieved improved results across a range of measures including rises in the percentage of students achieving both standard passes (grade 4 and above) and strong passes (grade 5 and above) in both English and Maths. Over a quarter of the students achieved the top grades of 8 or 9 and A or A* in at least one subject area which is a fantastic performance with some students achieving 6 such grades. Nearly 40% of students achieved at least one grade 7 or above.
It is so pleasing that the overall “value added” is set to remain positive which shows that students of whatever ability will make progress at our Academy. Mr Scott Yalden, Acting Headteacher
I am delighted with the individual and collective success that all the hard work delivered and I look forward to building on this for the future. Mrs Kathy Iles, Chair of Governors
