Students and staff at Looe Community Academy were immersed in a literary celebration on World Book Day. Extracts of perfect prose from carefully crafted stories written by our youngest students were vocally articulated with passion and expression by eager students during a special whole school assembly.
Thursday 7 March is World Book Day. To encourage students to enjoy reading, we would like to offer Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9) the opportunity to either wear MUFTI on that day or dress up as a character of their choice from a book that they have enjoyed. Due to Mock exams, students in Years 10 and 11 are required to wear uniform and are therefore unable to participate. As this is a Mufti day the suggested donation is £1. The funds raised will be used to purchase books for our school library.
